Lisbeth Smith, MS, CMC
Aging Life Care Manager/Certified Care Manager/Gerontologist
Lisbeth Smith joined Elder Options Inc. in 2022 as a Care Manager in South Lake Tahoe. She holds a BA in Human Development from California State University, Hayward (2018), and an MA in Gerontology from the University of Southern California (2020). In 2025, she received her NACCM Certification for Care Manager Certified (CMC).
Lisbeth’s lifelong empathy for older adults was first sparked in the 1970s while working at a nursing home in Denmark. Although she found joy in connecting with the residents, she was disheartened by the limited time allotted for each individual. This early experience inspired her commitment to Care Management—a field that allows her to build meaningful, lasting relationships with every client she serves.
With expertise in client assessments, resources, entitlement programs, and special needs, Lisbeth is deeply knowledgeable and compassionate in her approach.
Outside of work, Lisbeth enjoys swing dancing, hiking, reading, cooking, and traveling with her adult children. She also cherishes time spent with family and friends.
