
Miriam Leon, BA
Miriam Leon graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Movement Studies. Throughout her education, she developed a passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life through movement, rehabilitation, and compassionate care.
During her time at Chico State, Miriam gained valuable experience working with diverse populations. She shadowed an occupational therapist supporting neurodiverse individuals, where she observed the importance of personalized, client-centered care. She also participated in the university’s BE:WEL program, helping older adults, including individuals with disabilities, improve their strength, mobility, and well-being through guided exercise and rehabilitation.
Having grown up in Placerville, Miriam is excited to serve the community that helped shape her. She is committed to supporting older adults and their families with empathy, professionalism, and a desire to help others maintain their independence and quality of life.
Outside of work, Miriam enjoys reading mystery novels and watching documentaries on a wide range of topics. She loves learning something new every day.
